The MSA would like to welcome every and all interested parties to campaign for the various posts. If submitted, electronic campaigns, e.g. write up on manifestos, campaign vlogs, videos of you singing songs about your manifestos and such, will be put up on an MSA-managed blog. The MSA encourages those who are campaigning to be as creative as possible. These campaigns, however, will have to go through censorship for sensitive items.
A sample of an MSA election electronic campaign [blog post] from the 2009/2010 General MSA Election can be found here.
Submissions should be made to the official MSA email
Be forewarned, though, that the nominations will be collected before the 20th of October 2010. Those interested in campaigning should do so before that date, to make sure they're in the running. After the nominees has been announced, a second round of campaigns would commence that will last until Election day.
The posts that are up for contest are:
- President and 2 Vice Presidents
- Secretary and Assistant
- Treasurer and Assistant
- Academic Director and Assistant
- Media Director and Assistant
- Welfare Director and Assistant
- Sports Director and Assistant
- Batch Representatives
The guideline for and the explanation of the process of the Election, along with the description and expectation of each post can be found here.
The nomination form has been distributed to the batch representatives and will be passed to each group presently.
Samples of the forms can be found here. The sample for the presidential nomination form can be found here.
Please be informed.
